Faydra's Mexican fudge

Faydra made fudge this weekend. I'm posting the recipe for the curious and so I don't forget it.

14 oz sweetened condensed milk
1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp chili powder
1 tsp vanilla
1 pound 60% cacao chocolate chips (Ghiradelli is the best)
3 TB unsalted butter
small splash of coffee (caused it to not set properly and didn't add much to flavor. I would omit in the future)

Butter 2 loaf pans or a 8x8 square. Add all ingredients to a pan and stir over medium low heat until smooth. Pour into pans and cool for 2 hours.

When I made mine, this is exactly what I tweaked the recipe to, though I used that chili cocoa powder that I mentioned on Facebook and I didn't use any coffee. Turned out really well and the co-workers didn't even leave me the pan - good thing it was disposable! I agree that it's a really easy fudge to make with kids. Overall it took me less than 10 minutes for the ingredients to melt.

Chocolate? Chili powder? Coffee? Holy crap that sounds good. I will have to try this out this week.

I'd swap the splash of coffee for a dash of coffee grounds mixed in or sprinkled on top...
